As soon as snow falls on the hills we get our\u00a0<strong>ski gear\u00a0<\/strong>out of our wardrobes and head off to the slopes.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Grandpa Tone<\/strong>\u00a0was passionate about\u00a0<strong>skiing<\/strong>, and enjoying going to the ski resorts both in\u00a0<strong>Slovenia<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Austria<\/strong>. He passed his love of skiing to his son Toni, who was fortunate to be able to enjoy his\u00a0<strong>passion for skiing\u00a0<\/strong>at some of Austria\u2019s finest ski resorts. The story began long ago when t<strong>wo Swiss men\u00a0<\/strong>arrived at Kunstelj Inn \u2026<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_542\" style=\"width: 806px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-542\" class=\"size-full wp-image-542\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/atttaaaa1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"796\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/atttaaaa1.jpg 796w, https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/atttaaaa1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/atttaaaa1-768x772.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/atttaaaa1-266x266.jpg 266w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 796px) 100vw, 796px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-542\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Grandpa Tone (in the middle) skiing with friends<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>They were\u00a0<strong>regular guests\u00a0<\/strong>who frequently came to the inn and struck up a\u00a0<strong>genuine friendship with the family.<\/strong>\u00a0Therefore, they didn\u2019t mind when they were\u00a0<strong>served food in the office<\/strong>\u00a0when their arrival coincided with the inn being full to bursting.\u00a0It was there that they saw\u00a0<strong>a postcard of the snow-covered Austrian town of Wengen.<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>They asked Toni if he goes there to ski, to which he replied that he worked in Wengen, however, he had only twice been able to afford the\u00a0<strong>expensive ski passes.<\/strong>\u00a0The Swiss men just smiled.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_543\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-543\" class=\"size-full wp-image-543\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/stuben.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/stuben.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.kunstelj.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/stuben-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-543\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Snow-covered Stuben<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Some weeks later\u00a0<strong>Toni received a letter which changed his life.<\/strong>\u00a0It was an offer of work in a l<strong>uxury hotel in Stuben<\/strong>\u00a0with a\u00a0<strong>ski pass for the season<\/strong>. Toni keenly accepted the offer that the Swiss men had prepared for him.
